Echipa LEAP (Link Education And Practice) promovează conceptele de educaţie non-formală şi angajabilitate pentru complementarea educaţiei primite de către studenţi în cadrul universităţilor şi pentru o pregătire reală în cariera pe care şi-o aleg.
Evenimentele LEAP sunt aşadar adresate tinerilor ce vor să dobândească acele soft-skills atât de necesare pe piaţa actuală a muncii, dar nu numai. Mediul academic poate fi imbunătăţit prin recunoaşterea educaţiei non-formale în practicile de educaţie modernă, iar companiile şi piaţa angajatorilor profită în urma pregătirii practice pe care tinerii o dobândesc.
Termenul de educaţie non-formală a devenit însă din ce în ce mai cunoscut. Acum ar putea apărea însă alte probleme, mai ales în definirea conceptului şi modul în care acesta va fi inţeles de generaţiile de student din zilele noastre.
În ce măsură sunt tinerii conştienţi de avantajele reale ale acesteia şi cum putem defini rolul educaţiei non-formale în raport cu angajabilitatea?
Pentru a urmări un raspuns la aceste întrebari, LEAP organizează dezbaterea Educaţia non-formală – investiţie pe termen lung sau modă?!
Programul se va desfaşura sub forma unei dezbateri de tip panel între reprezentanţi ONG, ofertanţi de educaţie non-formală, ai angajatorilor şi ai mediului academic.
Evenimentul va avea loc marţi, 20 octombrie 2009, începând cu ora 16:30, la Hobby Café şi se înscrie in seria de proiecte aflate sub umbrela Săptămânii Participării Active a Tinerilor .
Miza acestei dezbateri constă în a identifica ce se află în spatele noţiunii de “educaţie non-formală”, în masura în care acest concept a devenit din ce în ce mai cunoscut. Vom aduce în discuţie şi limitele unora dintre activităţile asociate cu educaţia non-formală, dat fiind că incep să apară din ce in ce mai des confuzii între conceptul de educaţie non-formală şi metodele care îl reprezintă.
Invitaţia rămane deschisă tuturor celor care sunt interesaţi de modul în care educaţia non-formală poate fi inteleasă dintr-o perspectivă cu cât mai multe puncte de vedere.
Pentru a participa la eveniment, vă rugăm să trimiteţi un mail la adresa office@leap.ro până vineri, 16 octombrie, ora 16.00. Vă rugăm să includeţi în mail o scurtă prezentare personală, precum şi o motivaţie pentru participarea la dezbatere (in total 15-20 rânduri). Lista participanţilor va fi anuntată până sâmbătă, 17 octombrie, ora 15.00, pe blogul LEAP.

We are involved in promoting the concepts of non-formal education and “employability” as means of complementing the education that students receive in their universities so that they may benefit from real trainingin their career paths.
Therefore, our events are designed for young people interested in so much-sought soft-skills. We believe the academic environment stands to benefit from recognizing the importance of non-formal education within the context of modern education. Moreover, companies and employers are interested in the practical aspects of students’ training.
The phrase “non-formal education” is gaining popularity. As a consequence, there are now problems with clearly defining it and the manner in which future generations will relate to it.
Is the young student generation aware of its real advantages?
How do we define employability?
In order to address these issues, LEAP is organizing the following debate: “Non-formal education – long term investment or fleeting fashion?“
The debate will take place as a panel bringing together NGO representatives, non-formal education practitioners, employers and the academic environment.
The event will take place on Tuesday, October 20th 2009, at 16:30 in the Hobby Café. It is part of a series of projects under the umbrella of the Active Youth Participation Week.
