[lang_en]For a more efficient count of our newbies, this Autumn we have built a “PEEP-accelerator” – a series of training sessions by the means of which the PEEP candidates would grow in one month as others in seven. The general objective is that of getting to know and interacting with the potential PEEP members, as well as identifying directions, projects and new collaboration methods.

On September 15th 2008*, the series of training sessions was opened by meeting Anca Harasim – Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce. The 13 (lucky) participants were welcomed with amazing openness and flexibility, having thus created a motivating environment, both informal and full of information icon smile [lang en]Anca Harasim training[/lang en] [lang ro]Training cu Anca Harasim[/lang ro] .

It was underlined once again that the advent of the internship culture in Romania is imminent, as well as the direction NGOs are taking towards becoming more professional. Therefore, we should get more involved in internships, we should promote the benefits of active involvement and grow, both professionally and personally. We should maintain a goal in everything we do, we should know that we can learn from this and especially how to use what we have learnt afterwards. And the verdict of Anca Harasim – “Your offer is irresistible” can only honour us and make us more responsible. Through the constant support of Ms. Harasim, as well as that of the other board members, through the constant support of those that have believed in the idea of “Practicing Experience in Education Program”, PEEP is today looking into the future with strong belief.

If there was ever a need for futher confirmation, recognition, trust and the beginning of drawing up an identity for the new members of PEEP – I trust that the first step was made in the right direction.

S-a subliniat inca o data iminenta aparitie a unei culturi a internshipului in Romania, precum si a dezvoltarii ONGurilor inspre profesionalizare.
